Maybach

Brand name came in 1921, when the designer Wilhelm Maybach built the first car model W-3. This model is equipped with six-cylinder power unit with volume of 5.7 l. and became the first German serial car that was equipped with the brakes on all wheels. Next model W-5 was equipped with engine capacity of 7 liters., Which allowed it to reach a speed of 121 km/h. In 1929, Maybach developed the engine V12 6.9 liters, and in 1930 was a model Zeppelin DS-8 with a V12 engine volume 8.0 liters (200 HP). In the long history of the company there were presented some cheaper models as well. In 1941 Maybach car production has been stopped for some time.

In 1961, the right to manufacture «Maybach» was acquired by «Daimler-Benz» company, which in the late 90's decided to revive the forgotten brand. In 1997. Mercedes-Benz showed concept car Maybach, basic ideas pof which were embodied in production of models of 2002.

Today Maybach comes in two versions - standard Maubach 57 with a length of 5.72 and Maubach 62 of 6.16 meters long. Models are equipped with a turbocharged V12 engine (550 hp). The chassis inmplement the most modern latest developments of Mercedes-Benz, used at high-class cars.
