Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd is a company professionalized at production of luxury cars under Rolls-Royce trade mark. The company was founded in 1904 by businessman Charles Stewart Rolls and engineer Sir Frederick Henry Royce. Double R-letters in Academic print used to be positioned on the red background in logo of 1933. After the death of Royce the background was changed to black.

The first Rolls-Royce assembled in Manchester in 1904, is now owned by the Love family. The Rolls-Royce company for which getting the first Rolls-Royce was a matter of honor and prestige, didn’t manage to buy this legendary car.

The halo of exceptionality that these cars are always encompassed by, doesn’t often reveal the true situation. The inability to create a truly high-class car that would have totally met its image, made the owners of the Viskers industrial military company sell the Rolls-Royce, which had already been teetering on the brink of bankruptcy.

The Rolls-Royce trade mark completely came into possession of the BMW Corporation on January 1, 2003.
